Shavuot

Prior to Shavuot, the Birkat Hashem volunteers toil to bring the holiday joy and light into each and every home.

Since holiday joy means meat and wine, every low-income family on the Birkat Hashem list receives a generous amount of fine meat, neatly packaged cut up chicken, and vouchers to buy the rest of the holiday necessities.

That is how we accept the Torah with love – by making sure others can also celebrate the holiday.
