Every joyous occasion in the Jewish home entails a host of expenses. Whether the birth of a new baby, a Bar Mitzvah or a wedding - for the families supported by Birkat Hashem, who barely cover the costs of daily living, these additional expenses are prohibitive.

Through the Life Cycle – In Joy and Sorrow

The Birkat Hashem association helps low-income families at the most significant moments in their lives. Whenever a person or family are most in need of support, Birkat Hashem is there for them. A person who is preoccupied with a new situation is not able to also worry about the financial aspect of the occasion. This is especially the case with families who barely get by on a daily basis.

Every joyous occasion in the Jewish home entails a host of expenses. Whether the birth of a new baby, a Bar Mitzvah or a wedding - for the families supported by Birkat Hashem, who barely cover the costs of daily living, these additional expenses are prohibitive. Whenever a family experiences a joyous occasion, the Birkat Hashem staff and volunteers enter the picture full steam ahead, setting up a made-to-measure support system uniquely adapted to the family's needs and life conditions. The help may therefore include funding for baby accessories or the Brit se'udah; buying Tefillin, a suit and hat for the Bar Mitzvah boy; household essentials for a bride setting up her new home or clothing for the groom for his big day. The help is arranged by the Birkat Hashem staff with exceptional sensitivity, and with maximum respect for the needy.
